Have you ever tried fixing a vehicle and you didn't have the right tool? But did you try to fix the vehicle anyway?

I had a 1989 VW Golf, and I started a job and got pretty far. However, I got to a spot where I got stuck. I tried every tool I had, but nothing quite worked. Sometimes it seemed like I was making some progress, but it actually was a mirage and didn't last.

I found out that I needed a specific tool for that Golf model. However, I wanted to make it work with the tools I had. Eventually, I gave in and bought the part. It worked perfectly. I would have saved myself a couple of days of aggravation, scraped knuckles, and pinched fingers if I had just "Used the Right Tool."
